What language is the ICS exam in?
Catalan. The terms of the call state literally that the board drafts the exercises in Catalan, and the seven published papers confirm it: no Spanish version is issued. The level of Catalan required to take part is a separate matter.
The exercises of the test shall be drafted by the board in the Catalan language.
Stems, practical cases and answer options are all in Catalan, in the clinical and administrative vocabulary the institution actually uses: SISCAT, EAP, the Health Plan, needs-based assessment, ICS procedures. It is not a translated national syllabus.
That has a practical consequence if you study in Spanish: you can understand the content perfectly and still stall on the name. It is worth doing enough questions in Catalan that the terminology comes automatically on the day.
